Traditional Camp
One-week sessions offer the best of Camp Wilani's tradition of fun
and friendship. Campers, ages 5-17 enjoy 85 acres of forest, pond,
creek and meadow. Under the care of trained camp staff, boys and
girls may swim, hike, canoe, bike, ride horses, fly on the zip-line,
create arts & crafts, and experience archery, group games, outdoor
cooking and evening songs and skits around the campfire. Cabins
are made up of six to ten campers with a trained counselor in each
cabin.
Water Sports
Watersports are always a favorite past time for campers
of all ages at Camp Wilani. Sunny day canoeing and paddle boating
on Hani Lake make for wonderful leisure camp activities. And what
could be better than a refreshing swim on a hot summer day? Take
a plunge in our beautifully restored swimming pool or just bask
in the sun poolside. Some campers even take the Polar Bear Swim
challenge in the early morning hours!
Archery
Lear to safely aim and shoot the bull's-eye at the Camp Wilani Archery
Yard. Trained archery instructors support this challenging program
which is open to every camper on a daily basis.
Arts & Crafts
All campers may choose from a wide variety of crafts including leathers,
beading, wood working, paper making and more.
Camp Store
In the great camp tradition, visit the camp store for camp t-shirts,
cameras and other items.
Horse Back Riding
Camp Wilani is proud to provide programs for horseback
riding and horsemanship to every resident camper! As a thrilling
part of daytime activities, all aged campers from every unit will
increase their skills and knowledge about the care of horses during
their week at camp. A riding ability assessment survey will be sent
to registered campers to return along with their health form prior
to camp.
Native American Culture
Camp Fire has always borrowed from the rich traditions
of our Native American Cultures. At Camp Wilani, all aged campers
in all sessions may learn about the Native American tribes that
once lived in this region.
Earning Emblems and Beads
All campers are encouraged to achieve during their stay at camp.
In addition to the colorful Camp Wilani emblem each camper will
receive, other unique emblems and beads may be earned through projects
like the Bear Claw at Tipi village or the tadpole swimming progression
at the pool.
